The present railway bridge (shown on the right) across the Ravenna gorge (connecting Kirchzarten with Hinterzarten) was completed in 1927.
It replaced an earlier 222 meters long bridge (its cartoon shown above) supported by three 37 meters high sandstone pillars built 40 meters upstream from the present bridge in 1885.
