The Royal Dutch Students Rowing Club Njord in Leiden, where I was a coxswain from 1955 to 58. It still looks very much the same as it used to 55 years ago. Except for the ladies, which used to have their ouwn rowing club (De Leyte) back then.
During 1958 I helped (as a coxswain) to prepare and trained with Njord's senior four which was to represent The Nethelands at the Olympics in Rome, but unfortunately by that time I had grown too heavy to be part of the final crew.
