From Johan Opsomer's website We often made midnight expeditions to some of the hunnebedden around Anlo, Rolde or Gieten, celebrating these magnificent reminders of ancient times with a glass or two of wine. Johan Opsomer's web site is really worth a look. It contains a wonderfull collection of photos of rural Drente, the quiet and idillic Province in the North of the Netherlands. Looks like that at least has not changed since we were there over 40 years ago.
