Dinner at my University days friends van der Vijver in The Hague.

With only my vague comment that it contains capers, Maria had a fair attempt at cooking Köningsberger Klopse. It was not quite there but she stole my heart by her most thoughtful attempt.
Michiel is an artist living in Leiden and has produced some very interesting paintings. Several hang at various places in the parental home. Maria tells me that at age 5 my daughter Babette was his first "great love".
Carel, Hauk and myself all belong to our student year club "Pimpernel".
