Held at Cafe Restaurant De Laatste Stuiver ("The Last Penny") in Eefde. I drove past it earlier this year in July. The building, even with its name on it, is still there, but no longer functioning as a pub.
Here we are having a drink in the front bar with some of the local Gorsselse Boeren Dansers dance group after their performance at our party. Jan Pieter Engels, also a geologist, is sitting at Atien's shoulder. Jan Piet ("JP") and I played a lot of bridge during those years. Both gambling players we were always hopeless when playing together, but great as fierce opponents.
