Summer Exhibition at Martinshof, 1952

Perhaps the creative highlight of Atelier Martinshof. The whole groundfloor of the house except for the kitchen were used for this exhibiton. On display was of course the Martinshof collection with works of Maud Smit, Eweg, Archibald Dumbar and Chris Steenbergen. There were also gouash and pen (or charcoal ?) drawings of dancers by the French painter Jean Target and spectacular comtemporary jewelry made of molten steel wire and coloured antique glass by a French woman (forgot her name). Outside on the large lawn surrounded by forest were six large scultures (constructed of wire and either black or white cement) by Piet Slegers.
