Edda Marie Dierkes Prinzessin zu Erbach Schönberg   Gold with amethist jewelry

Edda Marie Dierkes Prinzessin zu Erbach Schönberg was a regular contributor to the Martinshof Expositions. She lived in Darmstadt (Germany), originally married to the German sculptor Dierkes, from which she later separated. Edda Marie was a cousing of the former Dutch Queen Juliana.   The jewelry shown here are of yellow gold with amethist stones.
As a young student I visted her once with my father in her home in Darmstadt. A very beautiful and intelligent woman. Edda Marie also ocasionally dropped in at Martinshof when she visited Holand.
