Our house in Yonki, 1973

With my mother in the foreground. My parents came to visit us several times here in the wonderful Highlands. Yonki was the construction village for the Ramu 1 Hydro-electric SCheme construction, where I was the consultant Engineering Geologist.
Our hous was a new Government house provided for us for free. Antien shared the white shed in the back on the left with out neighbour Bill who was a keen gardener. Half was his, the other half Antien's for her pottery studio. Underneath our house we built a small pottery display shop.
