  4. F - G - A - C - D (the F major pentatonic scale)

  5. Eb - F - G - Bb - C (the Eb major pentatonic scale)

The following major pentatonic scales can be formed. The added note is shown in brackets :

    D - E - (F#) - A - B

  2. (Ab) - Bb - C - Eb - F

    Db - Eb - (F) - Ab - Bb

The following chords can be formed from the C major pentatonic scale :
  • C = C E G

  • Am = A C E

  • Am7 = A C E G

  • C6 = C E G A (this is an inversion of Am7)

  • C69 = C (bass) - E G A D
    The C69 chord includes all five notes of the scale.


These chord qualities can of course be constructed from the major pentatonic scale in all keys.
