Normally Responder (E), with only 6-10 points would pass after Opener's 1NT rebid (which shows 13-15 points).
But when Responder is weak (6-10), unbalanced (having a singleton or void) and with a 5+card suit, Responder should rebid his long suit.

This is similar to a Rescue bid after a 1NT Opening bid.
Opener should then pass !

Beginners course of May 2013 :
ALL Responders made the correct rebid of 2♠ (well done!).   But all Openers went on to raise Responder to 3♠, with the contract going down one.
