Declarer has the following options :

  1. a direct finesse in ♠ to catch the K♠

  2. a direct finesse in to catch the K♥

  3. ruffing at least one ♣ while Dummy still has trumps left

  4. discarding a ♣ on a winner from Dummy
(once Opponent's A♦ has been removed)
So what is Declarer's lead to the next trick ?

Definition
In a direct finesse a high card in one hand is led to a higher card in the other, trying to catch LHO's high card.
For a direct finesse you should hold 4 of the top 5 or 6 cards.

South

Declarer's first priority is to draw the Opponents' trumps.
But because he also wants to execute a direct finesse in the trump suit he needs to get the lead in Dummy first.
Therefore at trick 2 he leads a small ♣, ruffed in Dummy.

Now Dummy's Q♠ is led for a direct finesse in the trump suit.

The Q♠ wins the trick so obviously South has the K♠.
Dummy's J♠ is led at trick 4 and the 10♠ at trick 5 when South finally drops his King captured by Declarer's A♠.

All Opponents' trumps have gone. What should Declarer do next ?
