a. Bid 4-card suit "up the line", 6+ pts. Opener may not pass!
b. Denies a 4-card major, shows 6-10 pts
c. Shows 3+card support for Partner's 5-card ♥ suit and 6-10 pts
d. Denies 3-card ♠ support, but shows 6-10 pts
e. Shows 8-9 points, invities Partner to bid 3NT with 17-18 pts
In case "a." the Opener (N) must bid again !
In the other 4 cases Opener may pass.
Rule
When neither player has passed when it was his/her turn to make an Opening bid : the bid of a new suit is forcing for one round !
