RKC Minorwood - Switch feature
Roman Key Cards Minorwood has a unique feature, not
used in the RKC Blackwood or RKC Voidwood versions.
In Minorwood the key card asker can be switched from
one player to his Partner.
After 1♣ - 3♣ -
4♣ - ?
- 4♦ = "Partner, you show ME your key cards
!"
Or after 1♣ - 4♣ - ?
- 4♦ = "Partner, you show ME your key cards
!"
- Irrespective whether this switch is used or not the
standard replies are :
- - 4♥ = 1
or 4 keycards
- - 4♠ = 0 or
3 key cards
- - 4NT = 2 key cards without
the trump Queen
- - 5♣ = 2 key cards with the trump
Queen
Likewise after 1♦ - 2♦ - 4♦ - ?
- 4♥ = "Partner, you show ME your key cards
!"
- Irrespective whether this switch is used or not the
standard replies are :
- - 4♠ = 1 or
4 key cards
- - 4NT = 0 or 3 key cards
- - 5♣ = 2 key cards without the
trump Queen
- - 5♦ = 2
key cards wit the trump Queen
In other words, the bid immediately after the 4♣ or
4♦ RKC ask is reserved for a possible switch, and therefore not
used as a key card response !
To keep it simple this switch feature is not used in
these Solo bidding exercises.
Therefor after - 4♣ - 4♦ = 1 or 4 key cards.
