Schmaltz is pig bacon drippings and taste great on bread. Each meal is preceded by a complimentary 0.1 litre glass of Peter Nelius' Kabinett Riesling (Halb Lieblig). I always order a 0.2 litre carfe of the same. I love the elegant shape of the carafes here, exclusive to Hotel Sankt Maximillian. Their glassware is top quality which makes the drinking a double pleasure.
This table is specially reserved for me, so that I can keep an eye on what is going on behind the bar.
