"Het Haantje" (The Rooster), designed by Maud Smit, crafted by Eweg in Atelier Martinshof, 1950-51.   My sister Wivica wore it on one of Grotie's birthday parties (see previous photo). These days Babette is wearing it. The silver of much of the Martinshof Collection was deliberately oxidised to give it its dark grey colour. The gold stands out much better that way. (It needs a bit of cleaning and re-oxidising.)
