The Expanding Universe

String theory may perhaps enable us to eventually discover what happened during and before the "Big Bang"

Towards the end of the Big Bang explosion tiny strings are formed which then combine into atoms. These form the first simple elements, Helium and Hydrogin. The two elements start to cluster together into burning stars. These in turn, after burning out and exploding leave residues of more complex elements. Eventually these form into planets, like our Earth.
A true evolution of Energy, transforming itself into ever more complex forms, eventually even becoming alive. This is where we come from.
