The Tropic of Capricorn (marking the Southern limit of the tropical zone) is the dashed line running through Rockampton in the East and Alice Springs in the center of Australia. Since 1991 I have live more or less continuously within the tropical zone, Nambour and the Sunshine Coast being only just 350 km due South of it.
