Appointment as First Lieutenant in the Artillery

I left the Army as a 2nd Lieutenant, but after a set period of time (just under 3 years) I was authomatically promoted to the rank of First Lieutenant. Here shown is the official Notification of that fact.

Those reserve officers who were residing in the Netherlands would be recalled after a few years for a 6 week refresher course and then appointed to Captain. Unfortunately, remaining overseas, I did not make that promotion.

I am quite proud of my Army achievement as it was by no means an easy task. It ranks very closely to my Academic degrees.
