D8, The Strubben/Kniphorstbos near Anloo.     D8 - D18 = 14km
D8 is one of two dolmen in the Strubben/Kniphorstbos, the first (and only?) official Archeological Reserve area in the Netherlands.
Besides the two dolmen (D7 and D8) the reserve (located halfway between Anloo and Schipborg) also contains numerous grave hills as well as prehistoric wheel tracks.

Coming from Schipborg, follow the Schipborg-Anloo road. About 250 meters passed the dirt track to D7 turn left on a descent dirt road suitable for cars. Turn right after 1km at the signpost (paddestoel) and you can see D8.

D8 consists of 4 roof-stones neatly placed on 8 support- and 2 end-stones. One entry-stone is also still present, the spot of a second one has been marked with a cement print installed by Van Giffen.
