Three waterways meet right in front of the park : the Bellinger River from the North (behind and parallel to the dunes), the Kalang river from the West and the Urunga lagoon from the South. The holiday park is located along the lagoon and the Kalang river, across the street behind the park is the main hotel with good meals.
The lagoon is a safe swimming area. There is also a 620m long wooden footbridge from the caravan park across the lagoon, then mangroves and onto the back of the dunes. A 300m sandy track continues on to an endless near-deserted pristine beach.
