Route "1" is the Highway South to Brisbane (100 km from Nambour)
I lived in Nambour for 10 years, 1991-2001. Am still a member of the Moololaba Surf Club. ThreePonds is in the SS Coast hinterland, SE of Palmwoods.
The hinterlands main tourist attraction is along the road Mapleton - Montville - Maleny road, permitting sweeping views over the coastal area and the Pacific Ocean in the distance.
Buderim (not shown on the map) is located (at the two green triangles) 5km west of Mooloolaba.
