Fishing knot 3 - Improved Clinch knot
Previous - All knots - Next
1.
Pass the tag end of the line through the eye of the hook, and back over, then under the main line. clinch1
2.
Complete 5 or 6 twists up to the main line.
The easiest way to do this is by placing your finger through the loop and twisting in a circular motion.   The heavier the line, the less wraps required. clinch2
3.
Pass the tag end through the loop (first under, then over) and then through the new large loop created (first over, then under).
Lubricate the knot well (with saliva), then gently tighten the knot and slide it towards the hook. clinch3
