Boating knots
  1. Reef Knot - joining two ropes together.

  2. Anchor hitch - attaching a line to an anchor

  3. Bowline - making a loop (eg for mooring)

  4. Cleat Hitch - securing a rope to a cleat

  5. Clove Hitch - tying onto a pole

  6. Carrick Knot - joining two ropes together

  7. Poachers Knot - making a loop with "New age" ropes
    (Dyneema, Spectra)

Fishing knots
  1. Homer Rhode loop - tying a lure or fly

  2. Lefty Kreh loop - tying a lure or fly

  3. Clinch knot - tying onto a hook, swivel, some lures

  4. Snood - attaching a 2nd or 3rd hook

  5. Uni knot - creating a loop

  6. Loop to loop - connecting 2 loops

  7. Dropper loop - making a universal connection point
